Following on from the successful major residential complex at Winchester house, Bracknell, PSL were appointed by Comer Homes Group in 2018 to carry out the structural design of Mast Quay Phase II.

The development which directly overlooks The River Thames, is positioned adjacent to the Phase I development and next door to the Woolwich Ferry South terminal.

The development comprises of two residential towers, Block D – 14 stories, and Block E – 26 stories and which continue from Phase I with a Maritime theme with architectural ‘sail-type’ Glass fins/balcony extensions.

The buildings are positioned on a podium terrace providing pedestrian and emergency vehicle access.

Below the podium terrace is a single level car park with tidal defence ramp.

The towers are designed generally with 250 thick flat RC slabs and with stability provided by RC stair/lift cores.

PSL works included the design of foundations for one of the U.K.’s largest freestanding tower cranes at 80m to hook from Podium Level.

The development is expected to complete at site during 2023.
