HIEX Tamworth is a five-storey hotel as part of the SnowDome complex near Tamworth Castle.

PSL were appointed by contractor Bowmer and Kirkland to carry out full structural and civils design services.

The building structure comprises a structural steelwork frame to First Floor which is designed as a transfer structure supporting a 4 storey Bell & Webster PC concrete system to roof level (4 floors).

In synergy with it’s location as part of the SnowDome complex, the building has feature wings which combine with a steelwork framed roof plant enclosure in the suggested form of a ski slope.
