Development of Principal Designer Services – CDM 2015

CDM 2015 has had a major impact on the industry and government aims to reduce death and accidents in construction.

Significant to the new regulations is the role of Principal Designer and with the intention that this role is carried out by a lead designer either architect or structural civil engineer.

We believe we are in an excellent position to engage the intent of the new regulations and we are now offering Principal Designer Services both alongside and separate from our usual services.

Establishment of Engineer Training Scheme.

One of our fundamental business objectives is to provide a market leading business with an essentially local and committed workforce.

We have close links with local schools and have developed our Engineer Training Scheme which sponsors school leavers on part-time or full time studies.

Expansion to new offices.

The company moved to larger offices in December 2013 enabling our expansion to 25 staff.

The offices were entirely developed to our own specification and have a large open plan design office best suiting our teamwork approach.

We also have a ‘State of the Art’ meeting room enabling us to present our 3D BIM designs by linking our network to the ‘big’ screen.

Accreditation to ISO 9001:2008.

The achievement of ISO 9001 has been a major objective for the company in its aim to provide the utmost reliability and consistency in our services.

Our detailing/information production upgrades to Autodesk Revit (BIM).

In line with our BIM policy, Pure Structures made the move to Autodesk Revit during 2012.

Our policy advances all projects to BIM Level 2 and has enabled our clients to benefit from higher level/shared information.
